Uzbekistan approves the procedure for issuing consumer loans for young IT specialists

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On amendments and additions to some decisions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with expanding opportunities for youth to acquire modern knowledge and professions" was adopted.

The document envisages amendments to legislative acts that determine the procedure for allocating consumer loans for young people to purchase computers.

From 1 November  2022, Khalq Bank, Aloqa Bank and Microcreditbank will begin to allocate consumer loans to young people who have received a certificate of participation or successfully completed IT courses within the framework of the One Million Programmers project in the last six months for the purchase of a computer (including in the Republic of Uzbekistan) in an amount not exceeding 25 sizes of basic estimated value.

At the same time, part of the interest payments on consumer loans allocated for the purchase of a computer, up to 1.5 times the main rate of the Central Bank, is compensated at the expense of the State Youth Policy Support Fund of the Agency for Youth Affairs.

According to the order:

a citizen of Uzbekistan, a stateless person under the age of 31, who has successfully completed courses within the framework of the One Million Programmers project, as well as a student or graduate of an IT park resident for six months from the date of receipt of the relevant certificate, applies to any of the centers of public services or through the SPIS with the certificate attached;

The Agency for Youth Affairs, within five working days, verifies the specified certificate, upon confirmation of the data, issues a certificate of payment of compensation and automatically transfers the generated list of applicants to the bank;

Khalq Bank, Aloqa Bank and Microcreditbank consider the received applications and, upon their approval, transfer the amount of the cost of the computer to the relevant suppliers of computer equipment.
