Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, who is on a working visit to South Korea, met with Kim Nam Seok, First Vice Minister of Security and Public Administration of the Republic of Korea until 2012 and former Vice Minister of ICT of Uzbekistan.

During the dialogue, issues of further development of the IT sector in Uzbekistan and attracting leading South Korean IT companies to our country were discussed.

Also discussed at the meeting was the work being done in the IT field in Uzbekistan, the conditions created for IT companies, benefits and prospects for further cooperation.

The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan invited Kim Nam Seok to become the honorary ambassador of Uzbekistan for information technology in South Korea. He accepted this offer with pleasure, noting that thanks to the support of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is becoming an IT hub and large-scale projects are being implemented in the country.
