Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 March 2025, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, Ahadbek Khaydarov, held talks with a World Bank delegation led by Kai-Alexander Kaiser, Lead Governance Specialist.

The discussions focused on the technical support provided by the World Bank for implementing reforms outlined in the Public Finance Management System Improvement Strategy for 2025–2030.

Special attention was given to an alternative financing mechanism—the Program-for-Results (PforR) financing model. Developed by the World Bank, this approach allocates funds not based on actual expenditures but on the achievement of specific quantitative and qualitative indicators.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to organize a seminar on the PforR program and outlined further steps within the framework of the World Bank representatives' visit.
