Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 October , a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Wildberries, one of the largest online platforms in the CIS.
The agreement solidifies cooperation in areas such as developing local entrepreneurship and enhancing the export potential of Uzbek-made goods on the Wildberries platform. The two sides also plan to support women’s entrepreneurship and organize educational events, training sessions, and seminars for entrepreneurs.
Wildberries, in partnership with Russ, already operates in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and China, from where goods are imported.
The signing of the memorandum is a significant step in the growth of e-commerce in Uzbekistan. Wildberries will provide Uzbek manufacturers with access to millions of buyers in international markets, enabling them to increase sales and expand their businesses.
Wildberries&Russ (LLC "RVB") was formed by merging two market leaders – IT company Wildberries and outdoor advertising operator Russ – to create a cutting-edge digital trading platform and offer tools for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. The unified company is currently operational in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and China, from where products are imported.
