Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations with Uganda. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Signed on 18 January 2024 in Kampala, the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda Jeje Odongo.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to establish close cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

The head of the Ugandan Foreign Ministry highly appreciated the foreign policy of Uzbekistan, especially aimed at developing and strengthening friendly, good-neighborly and mutually beneficial relations with the states of Central Asia.
