Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 September 2024, Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Mustafa Tuzcu, Deputy Minister of Trade of Türkiye.
During the negotiations, the current state and prospective directions for trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye were discussed.
To achieve mutual trade at the level of US$5 billion, opportunities for expanding the range of goods, lifting restrictions on products under the preferential trade agreement between the two countries, simplifying trade procedures, and developing industrial cooperation were considered.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish a joint working group of experts from both countries tasked with developing specific proposals for expanding mutual trade and developing e-commerce between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
