Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 September, a meeting was held between the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan and a Turkish delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye, as well as the Chairman of the Board of MTA International Mining Inc. (MTAIC), Berat Çönkar.

The meeting highlighted the significant development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye in the mining industry and natural resources. Representatives from MTAIC shared their experience working in foreign countries and provided details about their operations.

The discussions focused on the prospects for expanding MTAIC’s activities in Uzbekistan, including the development of MTA Tashkent Mining Company, established in 2019 for the research and exploration of mineral resources in the country.

During the negotiations, the Turkish company presented proposals for new projects in the mining sector. The ministry’s leadership expressed support for all forms of cooperation, and an agreement was reached on specific plans for implementing the proposed projects.

MTAIC conducts geological, geophysical, and geochemical research on minerals and precious metals in regions with mining potential. The company organizes operations at profitable deposits and carries out raw material extraction.
