Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A meeting was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan with representatives from the US Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP). The discussion focused on advancing cybersecurity and payment system development in Uzbekistan.

Central Bank representatives highlighted the role of the CERT-CBU Cybersecurity Center in defending banking and payment systems against cyberattacks. They showcased the latest software and technical solutions, including anti-fraud systems aimed at preventing bank card fraud. Enhanced security measures for mobile applications were also a major topic of discussion.

The meeting addressed the integration of new payment systems into the Uzbek market. Both sides underscored the importance of aligning Uzbekistan's national regulatory framework with international standards to ensure secure and efficient operations of modern payment systems.

The parties agreed to facilitate experience-sharing sessions online, focusing on cybersecurity, specialist training, and the development of financial technologies and secure payment systems.

This meeting marks a significant step in bolstering Uzbekistan-US collaboration in financial security and innovation. By sharing best practices and adopting advanced technologies, Uzbekistan aims to increase trust in its financial system.
