Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 March 2024, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan with a delegation led by US Senator Steven Daines.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobir Islamov and the Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov.

During the event, views were exchanged on the mining industry, geological exploration and the fuel and energy complex.

It was noted that in the field of electric power a number of promising projects are being implemented in the field of oil and gas with companies such as Air Products, Schlumberger, Honeywell UOP and in the field of electricity with General Electric. Together with USAID, Uzbekistan is working on the “Central Asian Energy” and “Future Energy” projects.

The parties noted that there are great opportunities for further deepening relations in these areas, and it is beneficial for both parties to effectively use them in the future.
