Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 March 2024, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Jonathan Hanick.

During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral partnership, including measures for the timely implementation of high-level agreements and prospects for strengthening cooperation between representatives of the business communities of the two countries.

Both sides expressed their readiness to encourage the expansion of investment partnerships and industrial cooperation.

At the end of 2023, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the United States reached US$657 million, and the volume of disbursed investments amounted to US$922.8 million.

Currently, there are 294 enterprises with American capital operating in Uzbekistan, including 148 enterprises with entirely foreign participation.
