Uzbekistan and the Netherlands discuss joint projects and football education development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The leadership of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Uzbekistan, Niko Schermer.
During the discussion, UFA First Vice-President Ravshan Irmatov shared insights into the development of Uzbek football, the creation of the National Football Center, initiated by the President, and the reforms implemented in recent years. He emphasized the Association's interest in expanding international cooperation aimed at developing the football sector in both countries.
Particular attention was given to the prospects for the development of women's and youth football, as well as organizing joint educational events and seminars with specialists from Uzbekistan and the Netherlands to share expertise.
The discussion also touched on the implementation of joint initiatives in football education, the use of modern technologies, and sports medicine.
Additionally, the importance of organizing an online meeting with representatives from one of the leading football clubs in the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven, was highlighted.
The conversation further addressed steps to create an effective system for identifying and supporting talented football players, as well as potential directions for future collaboration in this regard.
