Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 22 to 28 May 2023, negotiations between government delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on the demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border were held in the city of Samarkand.

During the negotiations, a meeting of working groups and the first meeting of the Joint Demarcation Commission took place. The meeting discussed the results of joint field surveys in certain sections of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border.

Following the meeting of the Joint Demarcation Commission, the Parties approved the legal and technical documents on the demarcation of the State Border, and also signed the relevant Protocols.
