Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar, to discuss current issues of bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took place against the backdrop of the dynamic development of economic relations between Uzbekistan and the EU, with the European Union being one of the key trading partners of the country.
"We strive to further strengthen our partnership with the EU, which brings tangible results for both sides," noted Laziz Kudratov.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the significant potential for expanding cooperation in priority areas of the economy, including geology, energy, and the chemical industry. In this context, they discussed in detail the practical aspects of implementing previously agreed projects and confirmed their readiness to mutually support new joint investment initiatives.
The conversation also resulted in an agreement on the schedule and key organizational details of joint events for 2024-2025, aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU.
"The European Union is an important partner for Uzbekistan in the areas of investment and trade. We are confident that our cooperation will continue to strengthen in the interests of both sides," stated EU Ambassador Toivo Klaar.
As a result of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening and expanding active interaction across all discussed aspects of multifaceted cooperation.
