Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 June 2023, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Oybek Khamraev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Vaclav Yilek. The focus is on topical issues of bilateral cooperation and the organization of major joint events.

In particular, positive dynamics of economic cooperation was noted. Thus, in recent years there has been an increase in the volume of mutual trade, the number of joint ventures. Mutual readiness was expressed to stimulate the expansion of investment partnerships and industrial cooperation.

During the meeting, the organizational and substantive issues of the upcoming 9th meeting of the joint Uzbek-Czech Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation, which will be held in July in Tashkent with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Josef Sikel, were considered.

“We will provide support in order to realize the full potential of bilateral cooperation,” said Vaclav Yilek.

Following the results of the meetings, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to deepening trade, economic and investment cooperation and determined the format for further joint work in the framework of the implementation of the discussed projects and initiatives.
