Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov met with Vice-President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Konstantin Limitovskiy.

Issues of economic and social development of Uzbekistan were discussed at the meeting.

The parties noted that issues of financing initiatives aimed at increasing the country’s environmental stability and reducing carbon dioxide emissions are a priority for the government of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the implementation of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy was also discussed. It was noted that over the past 12 months, the government of Uzbekistan has made significant progress in its implementation.

Particular attention was paid to projects aimed at strengthening the infrastructural and environmental potential of Uzbekistan, as well as ensuring sustainable growth of the country’s economy. These projects help strengthen the country's economy.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand and deepen economic cooperation between the two countries in these areas.
