Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 July 2025, a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the city of Kazan, where it held meetings with the management of leading regional enterprises as well as with Uzbek citizens working in Tatarstan.

As part of the visit, negotiations were held with the management of Volga Avtodor LLC, a company engaged in road construction and repair, producing up to 250,000 tons of asphalt concrete annually. Discussions were also conducted with representatives of the Syuyumbike café chain. In addition, the delegation met with Uzbek citizens employed by these organizations.

Currently, over 500 Uzbek nationals are working at Volga Avtodor branches in the cities of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny, with around 50 more employed at the company’s headquarters in Kazan. The Syuyumbike cafés employ 20 Uzbek workers.

During the visit, awareness-raising sessions were held with labor migrants, focusing on compliance with migration laws, the importance of avoiding unlawful behavior, and the need to show respect for the customs, laws, and culture of the host country. A representative of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan conducted spiritual and educational discussions aimed at strengthening moral values, promoting religious tolerance, and fostering interethnic harmony.

The leadership of Volga Avtodor LLC gave high marks to the professional qualities of Uzbek workers and expressed interest in hiring an additional 300 employees in 2026.
