Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Tanzania have signed an intergovernmental agreement on air transportation, as reported by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.
Negotiations between representatives of both countries took place on 24 October during the ICAN 2024 conference in Kuala Lumpur.
Tanzania has emerged as a completely new destination for Uzbek airlines.
According to the agreement, up to 21 passenger flights per week will be operated, along with unlimited cargo transportation between the two countries.
Uzbek tourist companies view Tanzania as a promising destination for transit tourism, particularly for flights to Zanzibar.
In turn, Tanzania plans to organize pilgrimage tours to Uzbekistan.
