Uzbekistan and Switzerland discuss mutually beneficial cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 February, a meeting was held with the participation of the Minister of Economy and Finance Sherzod Kudbiyev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolensky.

The meeting was attended by Counselor of the Embassy of Switzerland Gebel Bosch Rachel and Director of the Department for Cooperation with Foreign States and International Organizations, Work with International Ratings of the Ministry of Economy and Finance Adjiniyaz Kaipnazarov.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the development of bilateral mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Switzerland, and the guests were informed about the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, in which, on the basis of the principle “In the name of the honor and dignity of man”, such important tasks are identified, as the transformation of economic sectors and the accelerated development of entrepreneurship, ensuring macroeconomic stability, the introduction of "Green Economy" technologies and increasing the energy efficiency of the economy.

An exchange of views took place on the attention paid by the head of state to further improving the conditions for increasing domestic and foreign private investment in the economy, as well as on the consistently taken measures to strengthen the economy in our country.

In turn, the guests highly appreciated the reforms being implemented in the field of achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth, rational use of water resources, climate change and public administration in our Republic.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation
