Uzbekistan and St. Petersburg to exchange experience in the field of medical tourism

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Doctors from the largest medical centers and specialists in organizing medical tourism in St. Petersburg and Uzbekistan take part in the event “Medical tourism - a unique symbol of cooperation” in Tashkent.

The event, which will take place from 23 to 26 November, is organized by the Committee for Tourism Development and the Medical Tourism Agency of St. Petersburg as part of the implementation of the national projects “Tourism and Hospitality Industry” and “Export of Medical Services”.

The purpose of the event is to promote St. Petersburg as a leading destination for medical tourism, expand the horizons of international cooperation and exchange experience in this area.

The program consists of two parts: a series of round tables on the areas most popular among medical tourists (ophthalmology, oncology, surgery, neurosurgery, urology) and presentations of leading clinics in St. Petersburg.

Well-known medical centers of the Northern capital of Russia take part in the off-site event: National Medical Research Center named after. V.A. Almazov, branch of the National Medical Research Center of the Interdisciplinary Scientific and Technical Complex “Eye Microsurgery” named after. S.N. Fedorov, St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Institute of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantology named after. Raisa Gorbacheva, Clinical Hospital named after. St. Luke, city hospital No. 31.

The presence of doctors and potential partners from Uzbekistan at this event plays an important role in the exchange of experience and knowledge. The meeting is intended not only to create a basis for partnerships and deepen mutual understanding between specialists, but also to help improve the quality of medical services and maintain high standards of treatment in both countries.
