Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea have agreed to enhance their partnership in the space sector.
The corresponding agreement was signed on 7 April 2025, in Colorado Springs, USA, during the prestigious "Space Symposium 2025." The announcement was made by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI).
The agreement between the two countries covers key areas of cooperation: joint satellite development, the training of skilled personnel, and the exchange of experiences in shaping national space policies and development strategies.
The South Korean side expressed particular interest in strengthening ties with Uzbekistan, which is actively building its capabilities in the space industry.
As emphasized by KARI, the partnership with such a dynamically developing country in the space field opens up opportunities for scientific and technological exchange and facilitates the launch of joint research and design initiatives.
In the long term, both sides aim to create a platform for sustainable growth and integration into the global space ecosystem.
