Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 June 2025, Bobur Bekmurodov, Chairman of the Committee on Entrepreneurship, Competition Development and Industry of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, met with Zulkifli bin Baharudin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore to Uzbekistan.

At the start of the meeting, the ambassador was presented with detailed information on Uzbekistan’s large-scale reforms under the new edition of the Constitution and the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy, as well as the structure and legislative functions of the Legislative Chamber.

Ambassador Zulkifli expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and emphasized the friendly and trusting nature of relations between the leaders of the two countries.

The discussion focused particularly on strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, including within international parliamentary institutions.

It was noted that the friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Singapore have entered a new phase, with personal relationships between the countries’ leadership playing a vital role in deepening comprehensive and reliable parliamentary partnerships.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding inter-parliamentary engagement and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation across all key areas.
