Uzbekistan and Russia strengthen mutual understanding in the field of aluminum electrical industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Association of Electrical Industry Enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzeltehsanoat) and the Aluminum Association of Russia signed a Memorandum of Understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation.

This agreement will expand production, scientific and technical ties between companies of the two countries, including the introduction of innovative aluminum solutions in the modernization and development of the energy infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The signing of a memorandum between the heads of the two associations took place as part of the INNOPROM International Exhibition. Central Asia in Tashkent.

The parties agreed to interact in the implementation of joint projects, exchange of experience between industry enterprises, including through visits to production and scientific and technical sites, joint holding and participation in exhibitions and thematic events, symposiums and round tables. The Uzeltehsanoat Association showed particular interest in the preparation of regulatory and technical documents in the field of standardization, the interaction of companies within the Technical Committee 099 “Aluminum”, as well as innovative alloys of the 8xxx series for the energy industry.

Thanks to the safety and efficiency of the cable, as well as due to its low cost compared to copper analogues while maintaining strength characteristics, over 20 million square meters of housing are being built in Russia. In addition, work has been carried out to update a number of GOSTs that previously limited the use of alloys in the energy sector.

“The memorandum will allow us to adopt the best practices in the field of standardization and technical regulation already implemented in Russia, as well as introduce new projects in the energy sector based on innovative alloys. This agreement will allow us to become a development driver for companies in Uzbekistan and Russia,” said Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the Uzeltehsanoat Association.

“The market of Uzbekistan has great potential and the signing of the Memorandum will be the first step in cooperation between aluminum enterprises of the two countries and the subsequent implementation of projects in the energy sector. In recent years, Russia has built up significant competencies in the field of new alloys and regulatory and technical documentation - increasingly, developers of residential and commercial properties are choosing aluminum cable and wire products for their facilities. We are confident that our cooperation with the Uzeltehsanoat Association will be the first step towards the use of high-tech products in Uzbekistan,” said Irina Kazovskaya, Chairman of the Aluminum Association.

The Uzeltehsanoat Association was created in 2014. The main objectives of the Association are to develop a strategy for sustainable development of industry as a single complex for processing raw materials, producing and exporting finished products with high added value, studying the demand for electrical products in the domestic and foreign markets, assisting in the development of new types of products, saturating the domestic market with domestic products. high quality electrical products, taking comprehensive measures to improve the standardization and certification system in the electrical industry in accordance with international requirements and standards.

The Uzeltehsanoat Association includes more than 80 manufacturing companies of cable and wire products, electrical household products and electrical power equipment.
