Uzbekistan and Russia plan several projects in the aircraft industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Russia plan to implement a number of joint projects in the aircraft industry on the basis of the Tashkent Mechanical Plant (TMZ) JSC. This was reported by the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan.

According to him, the Russian trade representative in Uzbekistan Konstantin Zlygostev and the general director of TMZ Zafar Isokov held talks, during which they discussed bilateral cooperation on the basis of the plant, which was previously called the Valery Chkalov Tashkent Aviation Production Association (TAPOiCH).

“Several joint Russian-Uzbek projects are at various stages at once. Particular emphasis was placed on the digitalization of equipment, without which it is impossible to imagine modern aircraft industry today. It notes that TMZ produces spare parts and maintains the airworthiness of Il-76, Il-114 aircraft and their modifications.

“On the territory of the plant, construction of new facilities and re-equipment of existing production areas is underway, which in the future will allow increasing capacity and expanding the range of products,” the message says.
