Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian company Inter RAO may become a participant in a new project related to coal mining and coal-based power generation in Uzbekistan. This was reported by TASS, quoting Russian Minister of Energy Sergey Tsivilev.

Minister Tsivilev stated that the upcoming project will involve the development of coal mining, its processing, and electricity production based on coal. He added that the parties have agreed to work swiftly on the project and to support it actively.

Regarding potential investors, Tsivilev mentioned that Inter RAO is currently under consideration. He noted that the exact share of the Russian company in the project is still being discussed, but emphasized that they are ready to sign a memorandum soon and start implementation promptly.
