Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Erkin Khamraev held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Galuzin, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

The parties discussed further measures to deepen allied ties between the countries.

Diplomats reviewed the main areas of joint work between the foreign policy departments of the two states in order to implement the agreements reached during the recent state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Tashkent to further deepen the Russian-Uzbek alliance.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that the parties exchanged views on current issues on the bilateral agenda.
