Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The head of the Russian trade mission in Uzbekistan, Konstantin Zlygostev, discussed expanding cooperation in the information technology sector with the Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Oleg Pekos. In particular, they discussed the organization of Russian business missions.

During the meeting, areas for further development of cooperation in the IT sector were discussed, such as ensuring paperless trade, developing e-government, introducing advanced solutions for the banking sector and information security, reports the press service of the trade mission of the Russian Federation.

Special attention was paid to the participation of Russian companies in the specialized exhibition ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2023, as well as the organization of visits of Russian business missions.

It is worth noting that this industry is one of the most dynamically developing in Uzbekistan.

In January 2022, the implementation of the “Strategy for the Development of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026” began, which involves the digitalization of public services and the activities of law enforcement agencies, healthcare organizations, the banking sector and agriculture.

Russian IT companies are showing great interest in Uzbekistan. In early August, the trade mission of the Russian Federation reported that in the first half of 2023 it received more than 20 requests from domestic software developers asking for help in entering the Uzbek market.
