Uzbekistan and Qatar sign IT cooperation agreement
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies delegation to Qatar, a meeting was held with Sheikh Ali Al-Waleed Al-Thani, the Chief Executive Officer of Invest Qatar.
The discussions focused on key issues in the IT sector, including the training of IT specialists, facilitating their employment at the international level, providing financial support to local startups, and developing strategies for IT industry growth.
As a result of the meeting, Uzbekistan and Qatar signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of information technology. This document aims to strengthen collaboration in IT, digital economy, and innovation.
Invest Qatar (The Investment Promotion Agency Qatar) was established in 2019 to attract foreign investments to Qatar and support the country's economic development. The agency also served as a regional partner at ICTWeek 2024, contributing to stronger investment ties in the region.
