Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 October  2024, a meeting took place in Samarkand between the delegation of the Agency for Civil Aviation of Uzbekistan ("Uzaviatsiya") and the delegation of the Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Qatar.

During the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on cooperation in the training and qualification enhancement of inspectors, the development of international air transport, the strengthening of bilateral relations, and the exchange of experiences in audits that meet ICAO standards.

Additionally, discussions were held regarding the participation of Uzbek representatives in grant programs provided by the government of Qatar to train aviation specialists in areas such as meteorology, air traffic management, flight operations, and engineering.
