Uzbekistan and Poland to develop bilateral agreement on labor migration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Poland have agreed to begin drafting an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of labor migration, according to Uzbekistan’s Agency for External Labor Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers.

The agreement was reached during talks between agency head Behzod Musaev and Deputy Speaker of the Polish Senate Michał Kamiński. The Polish side expressed interest in organized recruitment of workers from Uzbekistan, citing Europe’s growing labor shortages amid demographic changes.

“There are many talented young people in Uzbekistan, and the country has a well-developed system for training in foreign languages and in-demand professions,” Kamiński noted.

The discussions also covered vocational training and retraining of Uzbek citizens for employment in Polish companies, simplified visa procedures, and the launch of special seasonal employment programs.
