Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A meeting was held in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis between OSCE representatives and Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbaeva, with a delegation led by OSCE Special Coordinator Azay Guliyev and OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Mission Head Sarkis Handanyan.

Participants praised the effectiveness of Uzbekistan’s comprehensive reforms, noting their alignment with international standards and norms.

Particular emphasis was placed on the structured nature of legislative reforms, along with gender equality and youth policy issues, which receive dedicated support in Uzbekistan. Discussions also addressed measures to ensure employment and protect citizens’ interests amid global migration dynamics.

The meeting highlighted positive developments in Uzbekistan’s neighborly relations within Central Asia in recent years, underscoring the country’s leading role in fostering these improvements.

This meeting affirms Uzbekistan’s successful reforms and demonstrates its commitment to strengthening cooperation with international organizations such as the OSCE.
