Uzbekistan and Oman Hold Political Consultations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 September, Tashkent hosted the latest round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.

The Uzbek delegation was led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bahromjon A’loev, while the Omani side was headed by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali al-Harisi.

During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the current state and prospects of bilateral relations. They confirmed their mutual readiness to strengthen political dialogue, develop inter-parliamentary contacts, expand the legal framework, and deepen cooperation within international structures.

Special attention was given to enhancing economic diplomacy. The parties agreed to develop joint measures to increase and diversify foreign trade and to implement joint investment projects.

They also exchanged views on the prospects for expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as cooperation in education, science, and tourism. Current international and regional issues were also discussed.

Following the consultations, a Joint Action Plan was signed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Oman.
