Uzbekistan and Oman Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Tashkent on May 11, 2026, between Bakhramjon Alayev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, and Wafa Al-Busaidi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
During the talks, the sides reviewed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation, focusing on political engagement, trade and economic ties, and cultural and humanitarian initiatives.
The discussions also included an exchange of views on current regional issues of mutual interest for Tashkent and Muscat. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining regular dialogue to strengthen cooperation in key areas.
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere and aimed at further expanding partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the Sultanate of Oman.
