Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 May 2024, the next round of political consultations took place in Ulaanbaatar between the Foreign Ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mongolia, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said. 

The delegations were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of Mongolia Amartuvshin Gombosuren.

During the negotiations, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of Uzbekistan-Mongolian cooperation. Particular attention was paid to accelerating the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, as well as the state visit of the President of Mongolia to Uzbekistan in June of this year.

The Mongolian side underscored the importance of the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at improving public administration and the legislative sphere, liberalizing and modernizing the national economy.

The meeting confirmed mutual interest in realizing the existing significant potential towards strengthening partnerships in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Proposals to increase cultural, humanitarian and tourist exchanges were considered.

The delegations also had an exchange on the topics of regional and international agendas.
