Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 March, in New York, Uzbekistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Thus, Liechtenstein became the 146th country with which Uzbekistan has established such relations.

Permanent Representatives of Uzbekistan to the UN Ulugbek Lapasov and the Principality of Liechtenstein Christian Wenaweiser signed the document on behalf of their governments.

The parties expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in international organizations, including the UN, and agreed to intensify bilateral contacts to find mutually beneficial areas of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The signing of this document will be an important step to intensify interaction between Uzbekistan and European countries.
