Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 April, an online meeting was held, in which representatives of the ministries of transport and foreign affairs, as well as customs services of Uzbekistan and Latvia took part.

At the meeting, issues related to improving the processes of international cargo transportation for national carriers of both countries were discussed.

During the negotiations, the parties expressed their opinions regarding the use of Latvian ports for the transit of Uzbek goods to the EU countries and discussed the creation of favorable conditions for this in the future.

This discussion has become relevant in light of the situation on the Belarusian-Latvian border, where a large number of trucks have accumulated due to the restrictive measures introduced.
