Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city of Osh met with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in Jalalabad region Absattar Sirgabaev, Dunyo agency reports.

At the meeting, issues related to the implementation of the “Road Map” for the development of cooperation between the Namangan and Jalalabad regions were discussed.

During the negotiations, representatives of the Kyrgyz side presented information about the region, its economic potential and prospects for the development of cooperation. They noted that, as part of the implementation of the corresponding “road map,” meetings and dialogues are regularly held between official departments of the two regions, as well as between representatives of the business community, science and culture.

Bilateral business forums between entrepreneurs are organized twice a year. During the events held in 2023, contracts totaling US$10 million were signed between various businesses. Cooperation in the field of tourism is also developing dynamically - in 2023, more than 10 thousand tourists from Uzbekistan visited the Jalalabad region.

The achieved results of cooperation between these regions were discussed.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the practice of organizing business forums, meetings for business contacts and information tours, as well as to conduct other joint cultural events.
