Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Kongratbay Sharipov, held a meeting with a delegation led by Kwon Young-jin, a congressman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.

Both sides emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two countries in higher and vocational education.

Minister Sharipov highlighted that five higher education institutions in Uzbekistan are actively cooperating with seven universities in South Korea, with joint bachelor’s and master’s programs already in place.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of a new joint educational program between Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and Yeungnam University in South Korea,” said the minister. He also emphasized that the cooperation will continue to grow, including through the "2+2" program.

Both parties expressed their intent to deepen educational cooperation to promote employment opportunities for Uzbekistan’s youth.
