Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan: prospects for digital cooperation identified

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 5 February, the Digital Almaty 2021 forum was held in the city of Almaty (Kazakhstan), which was attended by the heads of the governments of the EAEU countries, ministers and responsible persons in the development of information and communication technologies in within the states - the participating countries, as well as the leaders of large Internet projects and enterprises.

On the site of the Digital Almaty forum, a meeting was held between the First Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan O. Pekos with the First Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Akhmetjanov. 

During the meeting, issues of further expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of e-government and digital economy were discussed.

As noted by the parties, there is great potential between the countries for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of ICT, and mutual interest was expressed in further deepening partnership relations.
