Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Mining and Geology hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Japanese city of Mikasa to explore potential collaboration in the mining sector.

The Japanese delegation presented research findings on coal extraction and processing technologies, as well as underground carbon dioxide storage solutions currently being developed in Japan.

Additionally, the parties reviewed advancements in hydrogen production using underground coal gasification technology.

During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on prospects for further cooperation in mining, geology, and the implementation of innovative projects.
