Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the 81st meeting of the Council on Railway Transport of the CIS member states, negotiations took place between Z. Narzullaev, Chairman of the Board of "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari" JSC, and Jabbar Ali Zakeri, Chairman of the Iranian Railways.
The discussions focused on increasing freight traffic between Uzbekistan and Iran, as well as the prospects for developing international transport corridors. Special attention was given to attracting additional cargo through railway transport, which will require practical measures to improve infrastructure and logistics.
The parties agreed to collaborate on the development of international transport routes, including the active promotion of the "China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Iran" route. This will significantly expand opportunities for cargo transportation and strengthen economic cooperation between the countries.
