Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India, Sardor Rustamov, met with the Governor of Maharashtra, Chandrapuram Radhakrishnan. During the meeting, the possibilities for expanding multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and India were discussed, particularly at the interregional level.
Ambassador Rustamov spoke about the reforms underway in Uzbekistan, the creation of a favorable investment climate, and the implementation of joint projects with foreign partners. He emphasized the importance of the historically established friendly relations between the two countries and their strengthening in recent years, including at the regional level.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in trade, economy, investment, information technologies, agriculture, healthcare, tourism, culture, science, and education.
Additionally, an agreement was reached to develop proposals for establishing sister city relationships between one of Uzbekistan’s cities and Mumbai, the administrative center of Maharashtra.
The meeting demonstrates a commitment to strengthening and expanding mutually beneficial ties between Uzbekistan and the state of Maharashtra.
