Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uztuqimachiliksanoat (Uzbekistan Textile Industry) Association hosted the 3rd meeting of Uzbekistan – India joint working group on cooperation in textile industry.
At the meeting, key issues of expansion of bilateral Uzbekistan – India trade, economic, financial and technical cooperation in textile sector were discussed.
As one of the most important directions in this work, the sides determined measures aimed at expanding direct contacts between textile enterprises of the two countries.
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides reached an agreement on joint attraction of potential Indian investments to Uzbekistan in implementation of projects in textile and clothing-knitting industry, as well as projects aimed at using synthetic and artificial raw materials.
At the same time, it is planned to establish cooperation in textile industry, which will be directed to scientific and innovative development, training and retraining of qualified personnel, as well as further improvement of certification and metrology system.
