Uzbekistan and IMPACT BIO Discuss Project on Protein and Biodegradable Polymer Production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kakhramon Yuldashev, held negotiations with Ivan Savintsev, First Deputy General Director of the Russian biotechnology research and production company IMPACT BIO.
The discussions focused on a joint project to introduce advanced technology in Uzbekistan for the synthesis and production of protein products and biodegradable polymers using methanotrophs. It is planned that the resulting products will be used both as feed and food ingredients. Particular attention was given to practical measures necessary for the project’s implementation within Uzbekistan.
It was noted that the future biotechnology complex’s products will represent highly efficient additives capable of significantly meeting the demand for protein products in the CIS countries and Central Asia. Additionally, the launch of production will help reduce import dependence by replacing foreign products with domestic ones.
Kakhramon Yuldashev emphasized the relevance and strategic importance of such investment initiatives, highlighting their alignment with the current needs and priorities of the agricultural sector. He assured that the Ministry of Agriculture will provide the necessary support and assistance within its competence to ensure the project’s successful implementation.
Following the meeting, the parties outlined further steps, including a detailed analysis of technical and organizational aspects, sequential implementation of practical measures, and ensuring systematic control over the fulfillment of planned tasks.
