The delegation included the Deputy Head of the Administration of Income of the Department of Fiscal Affairs of the IMF Peter Barrand and the Senior Economist of the Administration of Income of the Department of Fiscal Affairs of the IMF Vincent de Paul Kuklayzan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed issues of improving tax administration.
On the part of representatives of the IMF, research works are underway to study the state of the country’s tax policy and sphere. The purpose of these studies is development of strategic and tactical solutions, as well as the development of proposals for improving the tax administration of the country.
A number of proposals were made from international experts to set up a bureau for work with large taxpayers, introduce business approaches, modern ICT in tax administration and create working offices in the regions for taxpayers of the standard regime, etc.
Peter Barrand noted that the Road Map for Tax Administration will be presented by the IMF experts in the near future.
