Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Italy Abat Faizullayev met with Director General of the International Development of Law Organization (IDLO) Ian Beagle.

IDLO Director General expressed her appreciation for the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and expressed her readiness to strengthen cooperation in various areas such as climate change, food security, economic development and legal development.

IDLO leads projects to develop the legal system and its implementation in various countries around the world, providing support to improve the knowledge and capacity of relevant professionals. The head of the organization noted that cooperation with Uzbekistan led to the introduction of a number of changes and innovations to the country’s legislation.

During the meeting, further prospects for cooperation in the development of the legal system were discussed.

The International Organization for the Advancement of Law is the only intergovernmental organization dedicated to promoting the rule of law and assisting countries in implementing legal reforms. Today IDLO unites 38 countries.
