Uzbekistan and Hungary’s 4iG Plc sign MoU to boost cooperation in digital technologies
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An official meeting took place in Budapest between a delegation from Uzbekistan and one of Hungary’s leading tech companies, 4iG Plc. The Uzbek delegation included Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Maksudov and CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulahad Kuchkarov, while 4iG Plc was represented by Chairman Gellért Jászai.
During the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at establishing a strategic partnership in the fields of digital transformation, IT outsourcing, and technology exchange. The document outlines key areas of cooperation, such as the export of IT services, support for startups, and acceleration programs.
The two sides agreed to jointly implement a range of initiatives, including internships, expert exchanges, workshops, and participation in international ICT events. Particular emphasis was placed on export acceleration programs and the promotion of cutting-edge digital solutions.
Abdulahad Kuchkarov reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s readiness to provide comprehensive support for the partnership, especially in terms of regulatory facilitation and integration into the IT Park Uzbekistan ecosystem. The discussions also highlighted Uzbekistan’s competitive advantages as a platform for international IT companies to scale operations — including a skilled workforce, tax incentives, and a flexible innovation infrastructure.
Collaboration with 4iG Plc marks an important milestone in strengthening ties with the European Union’s tech ecosystem and expanding the export potential of Uzbekistan’s IT sector. The parties are now set to begin implementing a joint roadmap developed during the negotiations.
