Uzbekistan and Hungary Sign Protocol on Nuclear Power Plant Construction Project
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a working visit by a Hungarian delegation to Uzbekistan, a protocol was signed between the Uzatom Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and the company MVM EGI Zrt.
The document formalizes agreements reached on key areas of cooperation within the framework of the nuclear power plant construction project.
The protocol outlines plans to introduce dry cooling systems with mechanical draft, prepare technical and commercial proposals for the supply of necessary equipment, and launch the process of establishing a joint venture in Uzbekistan for large-scale assembly of cooling system components. Special attention is being given to workforce development, with the Hungarian side expressing its readiness to design educational programs and organize internships.
The signing of the protocol marks a significant milestone in advancing regional cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and reflects the mutual commitment of both countries to deepen technological collaboration and localize high-tech production.
