Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 April 2025, an online meeting was held between officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan and representatives of the State Procurement Agency of Georgia.

The event was organized within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Uzbekistan and Georgia to enhance cooperation in the field of public procurement and facilitate knowledge exchange.

During the meeting, both sides shared experiences on improving public procurement systems, modernizing existing mechanisms, and adopting international best practices. Future cooperation plans were also discussed.

Special attention was given to developing centralized procurement systems, implementing effective tools to prevent conflicts of interest and corruption, ensuring transparency in procurement processes, and expanding access to public procurement-related information.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to deepen cooperation, continue exchanging expertise on a regular basis, and develop practical measures to support further collaboration in the sector.
