Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation from Uzbekistan, headed by First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Akmal Saidov, held a number of meetings in Paris yesterday, including with senators and members of the French National Assembly. This was reported by Dunyo news agency.

At meetings with senators, led by the chairman of the interparliamentary group "France - Central Asia" Hervé Morey, and deputies of the National Assembly led by the chairman of the interparliamentary group "France - Central Asia" Nathalie Ser, issues of further development and deepening of parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and France were discussed.

Reforms, legislation and the principle of the rule of law in Uzbekistan, as well as bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were also considered.

Particular attention was paid to the significant contribution of interparliamentary cooperation to the further development of relations between Uzbekistan and France.

French parliamentarians expressed their readiness to actively cooperate to implement the agreements reached at the highest level by the heads of the two countries in 2022 and 2023.
