Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 31 January, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kungratboy Sharipov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan, Mrs. Aurelia Boucher.
During the dialogue, the sides discussed prospective areas of cooperation in higher and vocational education, science, and innovation. Specifically, they explored initiatives to establish the Uzbek-French University and the Uzbek-French Vocational Education Campus, as well as plans to hold the third Uzbek-French Education Forum in Uzbekistan.
First Deputy Minister Shokhrukh Daliev provided a detailed discussion on the content and key provisions of the Agreement on the creation of the Uzbek-French University.
Additionally, Minister Kungratboy Sharipov emphasized that the training of qualified engineers and technical specialists is a critical task in the country’s industrial and technological development. He specifically highlighted the need for the establishment of the Uzbek-French Vocational Education Campus, underscoring that this matter must be approached with the utmost seriousness.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Aurelia Boucher noted the importance of establishing cooperation between vocational schools in Uzbekistan and French companies. She also assured that the French side fully supports these initiatives and that the French Embassy in Uzbekistan will provide comprehensive assistance in their implementation.
